Voice-Overs
This is an audio translation of a film or video script, which is then read by a narrator who is not seen on the screen. Voice-overs are often used in presentations and commercials.
Dubbing
You’ve seen this in movies. It’s when actors synchronize their voices with those of the actors on screen. If done well, it almost appears as if the actors on screen are speaking another language!
Subtitling / Video Captioning
This is a printed translation of the words spoken on film or video. Subtitles are usually displayed at the bottom of the screen, while the audio portion remains unchanged.
